Singapore — A 56-year-old woman died on Thursday afternoon after an incident at Jewel Changi Airport, where she is believed to have fallen from a height.
The emergency services — including the (SCDF) and the police — responded to a call at about 1:55 pm at 78 Airport Boulevard, the address of the mall and lifestyle destination.
The woman was taken unconscious to , where she later died. Investigations by authorities are ongoing.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud “thud” near a seating area on Level 1 in front of Lobby F. Mall staff were seen putting up barricades around the incident site.
A video circulating on the social media platform Xiaohongshu initially showed someone administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the woman; the footage has since been deleted.
In a statement, the mall’s management expressed condolences to the woman’s family and said they are assisting the authorities in their investigation.
