Schools across the UAE reopened on Monday following the mid-term break from October 13 to 19. As students return, education authorities and school administrations are kicking off a focused phase of exam preparation ahead of end-of-semester assessments scheduled in December.
Teachers and school leaders will accelerate teaching schedules, prioritise strengthening students’ skills and closing learning gaps. From October to November, schools will conduct weekly review sessions and mock exams to gauge readiness. Parent-teacher meetings are also being planned to discuss individual student progress and support strategies, especially in core subjects like Arabic, mathematics and science.
The newly announced academic calendar sets final exams from December 2 to 12, before a four-week winter break starting December 8. With the mid-term break now over, the next several weeks are being viewed as a crucial stage in the academic year where schools and families must collaborate to ensure strong student outcomes.
