The UAE has conducted the region’s first 6G terahertz (THz) trial, achieving a throughput of 145 Gbps. This milestone, a collaboration between e& UAE and NYU Abu Dhabi, marks a significant step towards the development of 6G technology in the Middle East.

Ericsson and e& UAE Modernize 5G Core Network

Ericsson and e& UAE have entered a multi-year agreement to modernize the 5G core network by deploying Ericsson’s advanced cloud-native technologies. This upgrade aims to enable advanced connectivity and innovative services, including immersive gaming and mission-critical IoT applications, enhancing the digital infrastructure in the UAE.
